Participants can sing a nasheed of their choice as long as the theme of the nasheed is about one of the following:

In particular, the Quiz will test reading and comprehension of the following book: 1001 Inventions-The Enduring Legacy of Muslim Civilization, Chap 1-4
Digital Art Competition
Using ProCreate, PhotoShop, Canva, PowerPoint, or any other artistic software platform of your choice, participants will create a digital art piece that reflects the theme of “Truthfulness in our daily life”

High School (Grade 9-12) Competition
Quran Recitation
Participants will be asked to recite one surah from one of the following surahs:
For Public/Weekend school students: Any Surah from the first half of Juz Tabarak
For Islamic, Tahfizul Quran, or Home School Students: Any surah from Juz 25
Extemporaneous Speaking
Participants will be given a topic to speak on (for around 5 minutes) and will have 15-20 minutes to prepare. Topic Areas (Actual prompt during competition will be extemporaneous):
Universal Values, Truth as manifested in the Quran, Promoting Truth, Ways to refute Falsehood in Media, Politics, and Civil Discourse
Multimedia/PhotoJournalism
Theme: Perception in the Media vs Reality
Participants will choose a misconception about Islam that is prevalent in media/society. They will then identify the truth and reality and refute that misconception using a short video of 2 to 3 minutes. Format: Present misconception, introduce truth, explain sources
Final product needs to be submitted by: Sunday July 28
