Participants will be asked to recite one surah from Surah Al-Nasr to Surah An-Naas.
Grades 1-2
Quran Recitation
Participants will be asked to recite one surah from below, depending on their school:
- Public/Weekend school: Surah Al-Quraish to An-Naas
- Islamic, Tahfizul Quran, or Home school: Surah Al-Adiyat to An-Naas
Grades 3-4
Quran Recitation
Participants will be asked to recite one surah from below, depending on their school:
- Public/Weekend school: Surah Al-Qadr to An-Naas
- Islamic, Tahfizul Quran, or Home school: Juz Amma
Story Telling: Glimpses at the Golden Era (GAGE)
Participants will tell a story from the life of the prophet, companions, and the pious predecessors.
The theme should include one or more of Truthfulness, Honesty, Integrity, and other moral values.
The delivery should include the source, context, sequence of events, and the ‘lessons learned’ from the story. Time: 4 minutes max

Grades 5-6
Quran Recitation

Participants will be asked to recite one surah from below, and then will be asked about the meaning of some selected phrase/concepts from the Surah list (references TBD).

Digital Video RASOOL (Revive a Sunnah, Organize Our Lives) Competition
Demonstration of Qur’anic Ayat or Prophetic Sunnah on ‘Truth Matters’ using Digital Video of 3-5 minutes. Competition will assess the following aspects:
- Understanding the Hadeeth/Sunnah or relevant Qur’anic ayats
- Ability to relate to misconception/perception that is prevalent in media/society about Islam
- Identifying the Truth/Reality and refuting that perception
Product & Submission: The video must be submitted by August 6, 2026 to info@lets-read.org and demonstrated on the competition day.
Participants may choose their video topic using the following resources (link to the Recommended Reading page).
Sample Ideas:
- Contrast between Truth and Falsehood, based on Qur’anic reflections
- Characteristics and manifestations of Truth in our everyday life. Examples: Truth and Justice; Truth and Freedom; Truth and Guidance

Shuhadau ‘Ala An-Nas – ‘Truth Matters’ Observatory
Build a ‘Promote Truth, Refute Falsehood’ observatory (a portal,
website/webpage, or app) on any ONE of the following suggested topics related to the competition theme.
- Different Shades of Realities and Truth: Surface reality vs Comprehensive reality. Seen vs Unseen reality; Absolute Reality; the uncaused cause of all realities
- Contrast between Truth and Falsehood in light of Quran; how does the understanding help us ‘promote truth refute falsehood’
- Characteristics and manifestations of Truth in our everyday life. Examples: Truth and Justice; Truth and Freedom; Truth and Guidance
- Mindset and Action: Why people deny truth? How to seek Truth? What are the barriers in seeking truth and how to overcome those?
Scope:
Your articulation of the analysis and reflection should include the following dimensions
- Thesis statement: What is the hot-button issue you are addressing? What is your thesis statement?
- Approach: What is your approach of supporting the thesis statement?
- Data, Evidence, Proof: What are our supporting evidences, theory, proofs, Qur’anic references?
- Relevance, Application: How do you analyze, synthesize your data and evidences to establish your thesis statement in the chosen aspect.
Product & Submission: The work product must be submitted by August 6, 2026 to info@lets-read.org and demonstrated on the competition day. You will have to present your product in 5 minutes, followed by a 3-minute Q&A.
